We all know that few debates rile up the populous more than the old Rice Krispie Treats v. Rice Crispy Treats spelling debate. There is that infamous chicken verses egg thing, and even that minor little good verses evil question which still somehow makes its round in conversation. But, even as the Official Rice Krispies website says it has been bringing families together for over 80 years, we wonder can this debate actually rip people apart?

Regardless if you believe the world’s greatest marshmallow treat is spelled Rice Krispie Treat, Rice Crispy Treat or any other variation of the two, it is our contention that any lover of Crispy Bars must remain cool, come and collected when talking about this. After all, there are so many variations of the Rice Krisie Treat itself, that for the world to agree on one spelling would seem to go against its very nature.

At The Crispery we receive dozens of emails about our tasty treats and we’ve come to realize that our customers are all after the same thing. That is, the worlds greatest “Rice Krispie Crispie Kryspy Cryspie Krispies Crispies Bar” and we are here to deliver it.

You may notice we refer to our famous marshmallow treats as Crispy Bars but don’t feel the need to follow suit. As long as you are passionate about the fact that crispy rice, marshmallows and a ton of fun can mix together to create heaven on earth, we know that people cannot be torn apart over this issue. We don’t care what you call them, how you spell them or how you eat them as long as you promise to enjoy them with “K” people and “C” people without malice.

Rice Krispie Treat – Chocolate Buttons

When it comes to all the fancy Rice Crispy Treats here at The Crispery sometimes our staff notices a huge run on the simple things. In the hustle and bustle world of Corporate Food Gifts and Holiday Gift Baskets our customers tend to ground us and make us realize that they not only come to The Crispery to impress their clients and coworkers, but to also just have some plain old family fun!

Take for example our Chocolate Buttons. It is a Plain Crispy bar layered with marshmallow fluff then topped with lots of chocolate button candies.  Like all of our Rice Krispies Treats the texture is moist with just the right amount of crunch and can tease up to four adults.  However, this particular rice crispies treat tends to be eaten in parts.  Lots of Parts!

There is no way that any human can avoid picking off each and every chocolate button before they take a bite into the crispy square.  It seems so easy to just leave one and enjoy the mix of chocolate and marshmallow as we intended but it is seldom done.

It is important to note that our Chocolate Buttons Crispy Bar is made fresh and shipped daily and when each one leaves our kitchen every chocolate button is securely smooshed into the marshmallow fluff.  So claiming that missing buttons may have fallen off is out of the question.  We assure you that every button is the victim of foul play and each customer should launch their own investigation into the whereabouts of their missing buttons.

Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treats

One of the most difficult to make, but one of the most rewarding Rice Krispies Treats is the Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treat.  It’s a magical blend of puffed rice, peanut butter,  chocoalte, and marshmallow and it although it is disguised as a gooey mess, there is a very delicate balance of flavors behind this perfect design.

The Cripsery’s Peanut Butter Crispy bar is actually two delectable crispies carefully smooshed together with a layer of peanut butter fluff and sprinkled with chocolate and peanut butter chips.  The different textures of this power treat are amazing and there are plenty of opportunities to experience each flavor on its own or in combination bites with other ingredients.  Like all Rice Krispie Bars from The Crispery, The Peanut Butter Crispy Bar is quite large and will easily satisfy four adults.  Cutting it into fourths also allows a true rice crispy treat connoisseur to place a few peaces in the refrigerator to experience the pop of the rice and the crunch of the chips against the rich layer of peanut butter.

Caramel & Marshmallow

The Caramel & Marshmallow Crispy is one of our most popular individual treats. But it is not without controversy. Caramel lovers order them because of the way our layer of Marshmallow fluff accentuates the smooth Caramel center without ever dominating the flavor. However, these same people often order other special occasion bars at the same time to try and hide the fact they are obsessed with our caramel. As if enjoying the two together would some how jeopardize their relationship with caramel itself. This particular bar is not just some well dressed Rice Krispies Square. It brings together two sugary worlds and creates a taste sensation beyond compare.

Some caramel purists scoff at the idea that a Crispy Bar could enhance their precious confection, but once again The Crispery has risen to the occasion and Marshmallow lover Vicki Mate has outwitted “The Caramel” as we know it. The battle brewing between marshmallow freaks and Caramel Crazies was inevitable but it was not Vicki’s fault.

She starts with two of her plain crispy bars and seals them together with a thick layer of heavenly caramel and just the right amount of Marshmallow Fluff. They have a gourmet flare but are quite simple compared to some of our more fancy Rice Krispie Treats.

When ordering a corporate gift basket, The Caramel & Marshmallow Crispy mixes well with any variety of treats but people tend to tear at each other for the chance to tear one of these rice krispies squares into pieces.

So if you are hoping to promote team building by sending your clients or coworkers some fabulous rice krispie bars, it’s a good idea to include several caramel marshmallow crispy treats. Caramel lovers are wonderful passionate people but don’t expect them to keep their cool in the presence of such a rare item.

Rice Krispie Treat – Smore

One of the most compelling and talked about treats here at The Crispery is our Crispy S’more.  Not unlike the memories we relive when we indulge in a Rice Krispie Treat, the thoughts of campfires and ghost stories often accompany the first bite of our S’more.

It is sometimes shocking that people consider a fancy version of a Rice Krispie Treats a gourmet food, but we have come to accept our role as the worlds finest maker of Crispy Treats and if that  makes us gourmet then call us what you will.  We’d like to think we are just  “Gooey Gourmet”.

Sending a Basket of Crispy S’mores definitely shows a flare for the dramatic but once they are unwrapped and stuck to your fingers, they are just plain fun!

Our Crispy S’more is made by combining two plain crispy bars with, of course, a graham cracker middle. It’s cemented together with a layer of Marshmallow fluff and rich chocolate. And yes… it tastes as good as it looks.

The Plain Crispy – Rice Krispie Treat

The Plain Crispy is the quintessential Rice Krispie Treat. It may look plain and simple but it is really much more.  Making the perfect Rice Krispie Square is an art and something we have perfected at the Crispery.  The Plain Crispy has a light Marshmallowy taste and just the right amount of crunch.  The flavor won’t overwhelm you but will fill the void sought by any sweet lover.

The Plain Crispy is terrific served at room temperature or chilled for easy cutting, or a dip in our Creamy Hot Cocoa.  Don’t spend too much time marveling over what we do or how we do it.  Just enjoy the Plain Crispy and wonderful memories that come rushing back about your love for Rice Krispie Treats.

It is November 4, 2008 and this election day is one of the most important in our nation’s history. The magnitude of this day has not gone unnoticed at The Crispery.

The campaigning has been exhausting and before our primaries nobody really new what the outcome of voting day could possibly look like, but today the votes will be in.

When I got to office today I was sure that the incumbent Plain Crispy would reign for another term, but the winds of change are kicking up new ideas here on election day.

For the staunch Rice Crispy Treat fan the Plain Crispy is the supreme leader of all things marshmallow and wonderful. The taste and texture are perfect, and a few moments alone with Plain Crispy diplomacy have been known to solve just about any problem. Even a few border disputes.

But at The Crispery we do not rest on our laurels and we don’t believe there is only one type of perfection. In fact we believe The Plain Crispy has the confidence and the professionalism to work together with other more flamboyant leadership such as Chocolate Cookie & Marshmallow, or the always ready for any State Dinner, Chocolate Dipped Crispy. All of our different Crispy Bars work well together to make a lovely conservative corporate gift, or out of this world liberal sugar lovers surprise.

Regardless of the outcome of today’s Crispery Election we are poised to move forward as the worlds supreme marshmallow crispy bar.
